Compiled by the Home Economics History Committee, this book documents the history of Home Economics in PEI, from the early beginnings of the Women's Institute and Domestic Science classes at the Macdonald School, to 1998. This includes the formation of the PEI Home Economics Association; the continiung development of related education in the Island's schools, colleges, and at UPEI; and the role of home economsts in PEI's health care and community systems.
